Generation 3.5, or G3.5, is the unofficial name given by fans and collectors to the second large revamp of the G3 franchise, occurring in Summer 2009. The animation and art style are slightly changed from the So Soft Newborn Ponies (Newborn Sweetie Belle and Newborn Cheerilee) commercial from Fall 2008, and a new theme song was made.
