Since SAAMI doesn't recognize the +P+ category, it can be anything the ammo maker wants to make it. The 9mm NATO load uses a conventional jacketed/lead core round nose bullet weighting 124 grains.

With a Glock 23, you can use Glock 17 and Glock 19 magazines. I have heard that all you need to do to fire .357 SiG is to use a regular OEM barrel, but I bought a conversion barrel just to be certain.

Lowering the hammer over a live round is inherently dangerous and the vast majority of "knowledgable" people I have heard from say that carrying cocked and locked over a live round is safer than lowering the hammer over a live round to carry with round chambered and hammer down.
