Ryo Inui (犬 (いぬ) 井 (い) 猟 (りょう) Inui Ryō?), [2] also known as the Hunting Dog Hero: Hound Dog (猟犬ヒーローハウンドドッグRyōken Hīrō Haundodoggu?), is a Pro Hero and Head of Student Discipline (生活指導担当Seikatsu Shidō Tantō?) at U.A. High School. [4] Ryo has the appearance of a dog due to his Quirk.

Dog (犬 (いぬ) , Inu?) is the Quirk that is used by Ryo Inui[1] and Gigantomachia.[2] Dog gives the user an increased sense of hearing and smell. For Ryo, his sense of smell was to the point where he could tell how many people there were inside a forest from outside.[3]

Mon (モン, Mon?) was the pet dog of the Shimura family. He was accidentally killed by Tenko Shimura when his Quirk first manifested and went out of control. Mon was a small and moderately pudgy Welsh Corgi with ginger and white fur.

Dog: Ryo's Quirk gives him the attributes and abilities of a dog, such as a heightened sense of smell. Ryo's surname contains the kanji for "dog" (犬 inu?) and "well" (井 i?), and his first name contains "hunting" (猟 ryō?). Ryo's English voice actor, Zach Bolton, also voices Sansa Tamakawa and Centipeder.

His Quirk is literally just referred to as “Dog” and he pretty much looks like a hybrid between man and canine. Hound Dog is covered in hair and his dog characteristics are front and center, rather than some characters who can mask their Quirks.
