M3 xDrive is the safest/fastest way to experience the S58. M3 w 6MT should come with a disclaimer every time you drive it “F*ck around and find out”.

So the car will be my daily. I don't care so much about raw power or 0-60 times. I just want a car that handles well and feels connected.

The difference in hp (about 90 hp compared to the base m3), while significant, doesn't fully explain it to me. The M3 is rated at 16 mpg city / 23 mpg hwy, while the m340i is 23 city / 32 hwy.
