2008年12月2日 · I fired a standard M14 on full auto on many occasions. We "kept" one that way and snuck it along to the bi-weekly function firing of NM M14's back in the early to mid 70's. The standard M16A1 or even A2 is no more controllable on full auto fire than the M14. We actually set up targets at 50 yards to prove that.

2009年10月27日 · Commercial receivers have no lug. Their op rod dismount notch is also different from the M14. The only remnant of the F/A M14 part is the M14 trigger assembly. If you look closely at the right side of the trigger group, at the disconnector "claw", it sticks out to the right by about 1/3 to 1/4 inch.

2012年6月6日 · M14 selector parts cannot be used to convert a semi auto M1A or other commercial M14 type rifle to full auto since there is no provision for attachment of the parts to the receiver as on a GI M14. If you have a M1 Carbine some select fire parts are OK, but not the disconnector or M2 hammer.

2010年7月8日 · M14 Auto Selector Hopefully a little clarification. First of three requirements for M14 full auto mode. Federal is correct. The notch in the side of the M14 receiver must be in the middle for full auto mode, due to the placement of the block on the Connector Assy which is required for full auto mode. ALL M14's were made with the receiver notch.

2021年6月29日 · SAI. and SEI both commercial entities built full auto M14 rifles, together building less than 200 full auto M14 machine guns. Most M14 rifles in the hands of U.S. troops were locked out, meaning that they could not be fired in full auto mode. Most folks seem to not know this or overlook it, but it remains a cold hard fact.

2023年12月9日 · A few months ago I stumbled upon a really rare parts kit that once made up a Chinese made full auto M14. This would have been one of the original guns from the 1960s before they were rebuilt and sold by Polytech/Norinco. Ron Smith has posted a number of very good videos on the Chinese guns and did one on one these original full auto rifles as well.

2019年4月19日 · The extra wing was just there for full auto operation, so in an M14, you can use it with the wing, or you can cut it off, or you can use a Garand trigger. In an M1 however, you can use a Garand trigger, or an M14 trigger with the cut lug, but if you put the winged trigger into a Garand stock, it will rub.

2020年7月30日 · This usually damages at least some of the firearm. An OOB with a factory built and properly maintained M14/M1A, shooting quality factory ammunition, is as rare as hens teeth. I do not know if SAI's Lifetime Warranty covers the full auto rifles. Please post the pictures of these broken receivers.
