London Weekend Television (LWT) was the ITV network franchise holder for Greater London and the Home Counties at weekends, broadcasting from Fridays at 5:15 pm (7:00 pm until 1982) to Monday mornings at 6:00 am. From 1968 until 1992, LWT's weekday counterpart was Thames Television, and from 1993 to 2002, was Carlton [1][2].

On 24th March 2000 the hearts idents were replaced with the video wall after constant complaints from LWT staff. The Idents were updated on 11th August 2001 to reflect the changed to “ITV1” Next on LWT …. On 27th October 2002, it finally happened the end of LWT.
