Lup is the twin sister of Taako and the creator of the Phoenix Fire Gauntlet and the Umbra Staff. Lup and her brother, Taako, were passed around among family members, never sticking with any for long, after the age of 12. After years of moving around, they learned to only trust each other.

It's Lup that pulls her own teammates back from the darkness, preventing them from violating the sovereignty of an alien world even in the face of an enemy who seems, by all accounts, unstoppable.

2019年7月2日 · Lup is a trans woman and Taako’s twin sister. Considering Taako is in many ways played as a character who bucks a lot of traditionally expected aspects of masculinity while still identifying as male, it feels fairly fitting that Lup, in contrast, subverts several aspects of expected femininity.

Lup, his Twin, was assigned male at birth, but at a fairly young age she transitioned, and identified as a female elf. Throughout their elf childhood Taako and Lup got passed around. They stayed with their aunt and she taught Taako how to cook.

During the finale, Taako, Merle, and Magnus are all defeated by the Hunger, but rather than taking that chance to have something meaningful change about the world as a result of their failure, Griffin just decides to swoop in and save them with the power of friendship.
