2006年8月2日 · the LT1 i had lined up was 1k for the motor, trans and ecm. I looked into the 5.3, cheapest i found for motor alone was 1200. Parts for the LT1 seem to be on par pricewise with other motors i looked into, atleast on the performance end. With the guy you spoke with was his only concern the cost or was there other factors to make him want a 5.3 swap?

2022年1月9日 · Oldeerslayer has it pretty much nailed. The reason the ’90’s LT-1‘s from a Camaro or Firebird fit well into a Square body S-10 is the accessory bracketry mounts the alternator, A/C compressor and other equipment onto the passenger side of the engine.

Also, it is extremely tight to get any sort of custom inlet air ducting to fit on an LT1 conversion, but the stock '96 up 4.3 inlet ducting and airbox fits the Vortec 5.7 ...

Having problem finding where the connector for park lights backup lamps is located, and a 4way connector for fuel guage sensor and fuel pump motor location. Where can I get info on what year my LT1 is. I have ECM plugs that look like 90-91 but can't find info on how make a standalone harness.

The small block headers will work fine but for best performance get a larger primary header just to make sure all the exhaust is getting out.\ 95xtreme here on the forum used the early model F-body Camaro manifold (ported of course) on his LT1 AWD swap.

2007年10月12日 · Hey 1s152nv, I'm having the same issues you're posting about. I'm attempting to use the CS-12 with d-port flanges on stock LT1 aluminum heads in a 97 S10. Mine arrived this Wednesday 2/13/08, a couple days after yours apparently. I have about 1/32" clearance to the #1 spark plug boot.
