Rifle Scopes LPVO Comparison: March Shorty 1-10x vs Kahles K18i …
2025年1月23日 · I am looking to get a LPVO for my 16" 5.56mm AR and have settled between the March 1-10 shorty and the Kahles K18i-2. I know that these optics are kind of comparing apples to oranges as the March is a dual focal plane while the Kahles is a SFP, but I've never used a DFP reticle before so I am trying to determine if it is right for my use case.
LPVO Thoughts | Sniper's Hide Forum
2021年4月29日 · A well designed LPVO gives users 99% of an RDS speed with better capability and easy of use than a swing out magnifier. IMO the 1-8 to 1-10X LPVOs are better replaced with 3X to whatever scopes with a piggybacked RDS.
Rifle Scopes Most robust LPVO - Sniper's Hide
2020年8月11日 · I'm in the market for a 1-6 LPVO and besides budget (~$1000), I am looking for an optic that can withstand my abuses (Marine-proof, as I like to say). I've run Trijicon almost exclusively since my days in the Marines, as they are incredibly rugged, in addition to clear and have a great warranty...
Rifle Scopes "Best" LPVO - Sniper's Hide
2022年12月15日 · It’s only SFP, but for most LPVO uses, FFP isn’t necessary. And for my intended use, SFP will be just fine, since the rifle is for subsonic .300 BLK only, and will probably never be shot more than 300-400 yards just plinking around.
Let’s talk LPVO and SFP vs. FFP... - Sniper's Hide
2021年3月8日 · LPVO's are used in dynamic high-stress situations in which multiple targets, often moving are engaged. If you need to engage various targets at 300-600 yards, quickly, while maintaining a FOV that encompasses all targets, you might not want your LPVO on 8x. 5x might prove to be much quicker.
Rifle Scopes LPVO with best 1x performance? - Sniper's Hide
2018年12月25日 · From my perspective, I have yet to find the perfect LPVO, but several have come pretty close. Honestly, most of the higher-end optics are very good and will fit the bill. I have my favorites, and right now my main optic is the NF NX8 1-8x, which is the brightest illumination I’ve seen yet in an LPVO (different illumination than the ATACR).

2021年1月30日 · The way I use LPVO's is mostly at 1x with the option to dial up the magnification to hit targets at 400yds easily. The extra 2x magnification in the sub 1.5k price range is often accompanied by worse eyebox, worse FOV, and more edge distortion(see Burris XTR 1-8/Trijicon Accupower vs Vortex Razor). 1-6 also works excellent with SFP which I tend ...
LPVO w/ offset red dot, why? | Sniper's Hide Forum
2021年1月25日 · Thats because you are comparing it with a 45 degree red dot. If you piggy back it up top over a lower LPVO mount, your LPVO will not be faster at 1x and your transitions between the two optics will be a bit more natural. It will also allow you to use both optics support side, or grounded on either side, something a 45 mount wont allow.
Opinions of LPVO'S | Sniper's Hide Forum
2021年6月20日 · The basic idea behind an LPVO once you get beyond, the whole "it's the cool new in thing that all the cool cats are getting", is an optic designed to sit on a combat rifle or close distance hunting rifle, that gives you a field of view for up close and personal like a red dot sight would be, but also lets you quickly go to higher magnification ...
Most Durable LPVOs | Sniper's Hide Forum
2024年3月15日 · Despite my preference for S&B LPVO's, they're stupid for using skeletonized reticles on FFP LPVO's and wanting to be reliant on their LED emitter on 1x/1.1x given that has accounted for the majority of my S&B service returns for a variety of reasons related to the adjustment dial/LED emitter. Some FFP's are still quite usable on their bottom end.
