They have changed the game before under the hood and also visibly so, but a proper sequel just seems like the wrong idea for an e-sports game that thrives on continuity and gradual change – but it also strikes me as odd from a marketing perspective. Anyway, TLDR: LOL 2, is it a thing?

Riot Games dumbs mechanics down. from Dota 2 > LoL, CS > Valorant. When comparing LoL & Dota2, a huge diff is the way they balance characters. Dota 2 makes all characters OP vs LoL nerfing consistently. Theres like x3 more micro play in Dota 2. Snowballing is a LOT bigger in Dota 2. Riot Games is good at making games more accessible.

Jan 2, 2024 · I'm not really sure why so many people love to parrot why in-game metrics are bad to follow in LoL specifically. In FPS you could obsess over accuracy to get over 90%, but doing so would almost always drop your performance in other areas as well. LoL has even more factors that are quantifiable. They just aren't as simple as in FPS games.

Jun 22, 2022 · LoL players don't really come here. (if you mention LoL here you get obliterated) Dota 2 players are obsessed with this question. They are both basically the same game but, people rage out when you say that. Play the one that you want. Dota 2 is more complex and League is quicker/more action packed. They are both filled with manchildren.

Only problem is that Lol is built on a pretty shitty engine which was coded badly initially, so even if they don't call it Lol 2 they will probably be forced to release a completely new engine eventually, which would probably be such a huge project that it could just as well be considered a sequel.
