Little Crater Lake is a spring-fed lake in the Mount Hood National Forest in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States. It is named after Crater Lake, also in Oregon.

Little Crater Lake is 45-ft. deep and spring-fed from the bottom, and from Little Crater Creek. The lake was formed by dissolving limestone and is not of volcanic origin. It remains near 34 degrees Fahrenheit year-round because of the properties of the aquifer that feed it.

Little Crater Lake, the small version of the famous lake to the south, is considered a geologic oddity. It is thought that the lake was created by artesian water forcing its way through the soft volcanic rock, creating a "blowhole."

2015年7月28日 · This is a cute walk through a gorgeous meadow, into the forest, and out to an amazing little lake. The water is bright blue, and you can see all the way down. Swimming of any kind is not allowed in Little Crater Lake. Additionally, dogs are not allowed in the lake.
