If your M4-2's serial number is < 151xxxx it most likely does have it.

Third, the M4-2 35mm frame covers a slightly larger area than the 35 frame in the M4-P. Apparently Leica 'tightened' the 35 frame a notch to squeeze in the 28 frame.

2012年10月27日 · In 1983 I purchased an M4-2 new for just under 700 sales tax included. Should have purchased a used black paint M4 but they were maybe double that and that was real money then. Still I should have extended myself to purchase it. Regardless of what is said, the M4-2 has served me very well and I still have it in excellent condition.

There were about 1,000 M4-Ps made in Wetzlar, Germany along side the first M6 cameras (these M4-Ps had a zinc top plate). A small condenser was removed about half-way into the M4-2 production; it was absent in all M cameras produced thereafter until the MP.

I rather dislike the M6's (and later) cornerless 90mm frameline compared to M4-2 and prior vf's. The 75 frameline is no use to me and clutters the otherwise clean 50 mm lines. 28mm likewise not needed by me and not visible to eyeglass wearers ...

2003年11月13日 · Using the full finder on an M4 or the 28 framelines in any M that has them all have the same problem: the foreground/background relationship is nothing like a 28mm lens (compare to one on an SLR to see what I mean), and it doesn't clue you to the distortion you'll get when you have the camera tilted up or down.

The VC finders with the plastic housing are about $160 brand new and, in my opinion, every bit as good as the Leica bright-line finders, which cost about 60% more used (if you could find one).
