Lebialem is a department of Southwest Region in Cameroon. The Division covers an area of 617 km 2 and as of 2005 had a total population of 113,736. [1] The capital of the department lies at Menji. Lebialem got its name from the Lebialem Falls, a twin water fall, which means "a hill from which water drops".

LECDA-USA is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization representing the interest of the Lebialem people. The organization was incorporated in 2001 for the Development and Improvement of the wellbeing of the Lebialem people worldwide. Lebialem is a county of Ambazonia’s Midland State. The county covers an area of 617 km² and as of 2001 had a total population of 144,560. The capital of the department lies at Menji. Lebialem is the smallest of Ambazonias 14 counties and the second least populated.

Lebialem Division is one of the six Administrative Divisions of the South West Region of Cameroon (SWR – Cameroon). This Division was created by a presidential Decree signed by Paul Biya in 1992 by upgrading the then Fontem Sub division which was a Sub Division under the Manyu Division to a Division with Head Quarter in Menji found in Fontem.
