2023年3月24日 · The λ's are from lambda calculus; the term was adopted in Lisp as a notation for anonymous functions. In the 2nd edition of SICP, the designer of the cover pasted the yin-yang and the lambda onto images of alchemists taken from an old French book (see https://irreal.org/blog/?p=9224), and then the designer of the logo brought them together.
