Wavy labrador coat - The Labrador Forum
2013年10月11日 · I was just wondering about labs with wavy coats. My choc lab Scout has a very wavy coat from halfway down his neck to the tip of his tail I generally call him fluffy or curly butt ;D I love his waves! he's had this ever since I had him at 8 weeks, he is 4 now.
Unusual Coat? - The Labrador Forum
2017年10月11日 · A side on picture would be good. all my labs have had different coats. 2 with the classic thick coats and one with a closer but still undercoated coat. I find people everywhere are experts on my dogs. Moo is always been mistaken for a lab mix as she's tiny and Rory for a pointer cross lab. I don't care, empty vessels make most noise.
When is it too cold for a lab? - The Labrador Forum
2016年12月5日 · There was a Lab that ran free with them through out the trip, and I understand it was Alaska cold. We have had Roughwear doggie over coats for our Labs if they were going to be out in the snow for long periods, especially if we weren't hiking (think several hours of digging a snow cave, while the dogs just sat around or played on their own.)
Double Coat vs Single Coat - The Labrador Forum
2016年2月8日 · The discussion about Single Coats made me look at Tilly's coat, and wonder if she would be classed as having a single coat. I never questioned whether she had a double coat, because I thought all Labs did. Her coat seems to have guard hair and undercoat, but the guard hair is definitely finer and shorter than Cooper's (or our previous Lab, Ginger)
Wavy Hair on The Back - The Labrador Forum
2015年11月28日 · Totally normal. In fact Labradors should have coarser fur down their back. It's described in the Standards as 'having a harder feel'. It's more weatherproof than the other fur, kind of like a 'raincoat' as Julie put it. They say that often the best coats do have a bit of a wave - that is, those coats that are also thick and have a proper undercoat.
Silver x silver breeding - The Labrador Forum
2021年12月5日 · The recessive black gene isn't typically associated with Labs, but it's responsible for black coats in several herding and pastoral breeds including German Shepherds, Shetland Sheepdogs, Pulis and Schipperkes. So it would have to had found it's way into your Labs by outcrossing with one of those breeds at some point in their distant family tree.
Rain coat for UK - The Labrador Forum
2024年7月17日 · We decided to buy Ruff & Tumble towelling coats for them because they dry them off beautifully and because they won’t overheat when running around in the wet. We put them on before they hop back in the car and before they come back in the house.. They are not a cheap option but by far and away the best option for us.
Not 100% lab?? | The Labrador Forum
2015年7月31日 · Even more interesting, if they are going to be red Chows their coats start out black and begin to turn red around the same age. It's like their tongues and coats trade colour. There is a Chow Chow breeder around the corner from us. I saw his puppies at this age with their blotchy, multi-coloured coats and tongues.
Supplements for coat - The Labrador Forum
2018年2月24日 · Coco's coat is not as sleek as a Lab, but I give him a couple of omega 3 fish oil capsules every day, and he also gets a little salmon oil most days - it really keeps his coat tip-top and shiny. edzbird , Feb 24, 2018
Black lab that has brown highlights - The Labrador Forum
2020年11月20日 · Black coats and brown coats are caused by the same pigment, eumelanin, in different concentrations. And a bit of variation in hue is quite normal. Some black Lab owners also report their Lab's coats getting a little sun bleached in summer, or fading to …
