The estate of La Foce is situated on the hills overlooking the Val d'Orcia, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Villa La Foce is a historic residence dating back to the late 15th century. In 1924 it became the property of Antonio and Iris Origo who created its now world-famous gardens.

The gardens of La Foce is a beautiful, majestic place open to the public every Wednesday afternoon: 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and every Thursday and Sunday: 11:30am, 3pm, 4:30pm. It's a very picturesque unforgettable place and there's a lovely shop to bring home souvenirs too.
