The mission of Project 225 is to facilitate long-term service for members of the Ogden Honors College. The project is an OHC organization that partners with local service and nonprofit organizations to fulfill the needs of the Greater Baton Rouge community.

Through volunteering with the non-profit Humanities Amped, we are a forward-thinking initiative recruiting LSU students to tutor immigrant students in Tara High School. LSU volunteers will be matched with a Tara teacher and work with students in their classroom for a minimum of two class periods per week.

The Inaugural 225Fest in 2023 marked the largest festival celebrating culture in the capital region, attracting over 14,000 attendees to Downtown Baton Rouge. We doubled our attendance in 2024 with over 30,000 event festival goers. The street festival featured food trucks, kids' activities, an art walk, health fair, and live performances.
