The Endurance-class tank landing ships (LST) are the largest class of ships in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). They were designed and built by Singapore Technologies (ST) Marine to replace the old County-class tank landing ships .

On 5 May 2000, our first Endurance-class Landing Ship Tank (LST), RSS Endurance, entered service. Immediately after, it sailed out to circumnavigate the globe in four months. Through heavy seas and seven-metre high waves, it took part in the International Naval Review in New York during the journey.

After more than 20 years of service, these County-class LMVs were replaced by Singapore’s Endurance-class tank landing ships (LSTs) in 2000. These LSTs are 40% larger than the previous County-class vessels, travel twice as fast, and place a heavy emphasis on on-board automation.

Six County-class Landing Ships Tank (LSTs) came into service, enabling the RSN to participate in various overseas exercises.
