2024年7月17日 · AMS notifies FDA when an application is made to import shell eggs into the United States. It notifies FDA before it releases any lots of imported shell eggs into domestic commerce. An application to import shell eggs into the U.S. must be made on AMS Form, LPS-222 and be accompanied by a foreign health certificate.

USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) requires that all applications for shell eggs importation be submitted on Form LPS-222. A completed application includes the foreign inspection certificate and a copy of the label. The issued Import Request, Form LP-222 will be returned by mail. Alternate arrangements to return the Import Request can be established. The issued Import Request must be presented to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials for conditional release pending inspection.
