2020年1月14日 · Getting back to the original topic of this thread, the Midland/LMS 2P was also associated with the "small engine policy", but evidently useful and reliable. The last members survived along with Caledonian Pickersgill 4-4-0s until 1962, which appears to be the last year that 4-4-0s operated in normal service in Great Britain.

2012年12月30日 · Hi just a general question, What would be the General consensus be on a New build LMS 2P 4-4-0. As the tender was a standard Fowler 3,500 Gallon, so the drawings are easy to get for that, the Boiler was a standard G7S, as this is the same type as the LMS 4F, the drawings are accesable.

2008年6月6日 · The Midland Railway had a large number of 1P 0-4-4T and this was a larger version of the larger wheeled design, classified 2P. The ten built were numbered 6400–6409 by the LMS and renumbered 1900–1909 shortly before nationalisation, freeing the numbers for new LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0s.

2012年12月30日 · a 2P would be one of the few new builds which has a chance of making money from photo charters etc. The livery choices are very many and I could see a good few paying to see a 2P piloting a Black 5 or 4F in Somerset or Norfiolk It would have a huge following compared to a Clan or a George V (which would be nice to have but the number of fans would be limited)
