Kuner Kuckuck 40 Jahre. Has 4 band figures, a horn player, an accordianist, a singer and a drummer; they are animated, of course. The eaves are scalloped.

2022年3月18日 · Some of the highlights are: 17 bushings, a new tooth for the S3 wheel, new dial numerals, all bellow materials replaced, painted quail and cuckoo, filled cracks on the clock face, carved a new beak for the crest bird, cleaned weights and finished with ebony Rub-n-Buff, repaired lots of chain, re-stained, and two coats of shellac on the whole case.

2019年10月24日 · Gebrueder Kuner (The Kuner Brothers) started business in Schonach in the mid-1920s and were in business until, I believe, 2000. They specialized in cuckoo clocks. Kuner clocks are difficult to date, but based on the case, I would guess that your clock was made no earlier than the mid-1960s, but this is just a guess. Regards.

2019年11月21日 · Gebrueder Kuner were not in existence until the early to mid-1920's, so clearly the clock (or at least the movement) was not from the 1880's. Kuner did use Regula movements at times, so perhaps this is a Regula movement with the Kuner name stamped on it.

2024年3月1日 · The 'G.K.' is the mark of George Kuehl. This trademark has been misattributed to Kuner for some years, but has been subsequently confirmed to be from Kuehl. George Kuehl, of Chicago, was a large importer of clocks, many of which were cuckoos. This, of course, does not answer the maker of your clock. Regards.

2007年10月28日 · You are correct in that GK stands for Gebrueder Kuner. Kuner was in business at least as early as 1905 and possibly before that time. Rick Ortenberger's book on Black Forest clocks shows an advertisement for GK from 1905. From the pictures you show, there is no indication of a "Made in Germany" or "Germany" on the clock.

2009年10月4日 · Hi There is a book out entitled "The Black Forest Cuckoo Clock" by Karl Kochmann that has pictures of the Gebruder Kuner plates that date from 1875. I am members of a few cuckoo clock sites on facebook and this argument comes up all the time.

2019年1月26日 · Hello again. I picked up this Black Forest cuckoo and quail clock last week. I initially thought it was made by Gebruder Kuner, but having looked at previous posts on the message board I've discovered it was made by George Kuehl possibly between 1909 and 1914. It has cast brass plates and wooden cuckoo and quail with flapping wings.
