On November 2, 1980, KMOM-TV changed its call letters to KTPX-TV. Two years later, on September 5, 1982, KTPX-TV assumed the NBC affiliation from KMID. This logo is an upside-down version of KCEN-TV 's 1977-95 logo. It has been used by KTPX/KWES since 1986, surviving a callsign change.
