I'll never forget the last DC-8 I flew. It was an United Airlines DC-8-63 with new GE engines. Went from Dulles in DC to Chicago. The DC-8 just felt solid and smooth, what a great aircraft. And the new GE engines made it even more impressive. One of my favorite airplanes. To all the Douglas engineers, well done.

2003年8月2日 · Only airlines that converted 747-200s to SUD standard were KLM and UTA. The UTA aircraft went to Air France, some of KLM's are still with KLM, the rest are parked at Mojave. JAL operate two 747-100SR/SUD models - if I remember correctly one was a conversion and the other was a built as a 747-100SR/SUD.

2019年3月31日 · I never knew KLM's 747 had a side galley on the front. Are they the only ones left flying this config? According to seat guru TG still has the longitudinal galley between R1 and R2. They're the only other operator I know of with such a configuration. From looking at historical seat maps UA used to have a similar setup on their ex PA 747SPs.
