2024年11月5日 · Kai Oh (b. 1992, Seoul, Korea) is a visual artist based in New York, NY. She received her MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts and holds dual Bachelor’s degrees from Seoul National University and the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg.

In her latest series, Unpleasant Episodes, Kai Oh weaves together humor, defiance, and—crucially—her own breasts and nipples. For Oh, the body is a site of both intimacy and projection, shaped as much by personal experience as by external scrutiny.

Kai Oh studied sculpture at Seoul National University and photography at the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts in Germany, and is currently studying at Columbia University in the United States. She held solo exhibitions 《Softsharp》 (Cylinder) in 2021 and 《Half Sticky》 as part of IBK & GMoma YOUNG ARTISTS in 2023.
