The Kingman Fire Department responds to medical emergencies, fire emergencies, and hazardous materials incident emergencies. 42 career employees are on three rotating shifts of 14 personnel each, working 24 hour shifts, providing emergency response, inspection and assistance in public education activities.

The Kingman Fire Department is a municipal fire department protecting an area 37.5 square miles with a population of just over 35,000 residents. In 2022, the Kingman Fire Department responded to 9,102 calls for service 85% of which were emergency medical calls and 15% fire, hazardous materials, technical rescue or other emergencies.
