2023年8月22日 · If you long rest (or also if you reach the forge, though I haven't confirmed it) before finding/saving Nere, the duergar kill the gnomes and scram and the place just empties of NPCs. I never long rested, (visited camp twice to switch out members) but went to the forge and when I got back the gnomes were slaughtered and I eventually found Nere dead.

Then I killed him afterwards. In hindsight, I’m not really happy with my choices because it went against my character’s roleplay to not try and save the gnomes. However, I just want to move on. Are there any consequences to worry about from handling it this way?
