I have kerosene in a 55 gallon drum I got 20 years ago and also have diesel in a 55 as well as 2 -18 gallon marine plastic fuel tanks. every thing is sealed and out of the light but the diesel is for the generator . nice to know that I can run the kerosene adding oil to it, thanks.

2015年9月15日 · K-1 has a 10 year shelf life if kept in a tightly sealed container, so no additives needed. Using anything else but kerosene in a kerosene heater is definitely anti-survival. Also, good idea on the CO monitor/alarm. Kerosene is reasonably safe to burn indoors, but good ventilation and a CO/monitor/alarm is prudent thinking just the same.

These drums had a type of syrup used for making DR. Pepper on them. So for storing large amounts of kerosene, I buy in bulk.
