The flag of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a U.S. state, was adopted on March 26, 1918. In June 1962, it was slightly redesigned.

2023年7月28日 · The 1962 redesign, which added the goldenrod and blue colors to the flag, was influenced by the state’s desire to have a more distinctive and colorful flag. The new 2020 design, which simplified the seal and added a star, was the result of a grassroots effort by a group of citizens who felt that the previous design was too cluttered and outdated.

The flag of the Commonwealth of Kentucky was adopted on March 26, 1918. The flag consists of the Commonwealth's seal on a navy blue field, surrounded by the words "Commonwealth of Kentucky" above and sprigs of goldenrod, the state flower, below.

Frankfort, KY has officially adopted its newly revised city flag. The city commissioners voted unanimously to amend the code of ordinances with the new design language at the December 9th, 2024 commission meeting. The flag immediately enters the public domain and belongs to the people of Frankfort.

2020年5月15日 · These are my two ideas for a redesign of the Kentucky flag. The teal represents bluegrass (as in blue, mixed with green for grass) and the gold is from the current flag. The flag on the left is partially based on the "United We Stand" design, along with a rearing horse.
