Kazi is the fifth LGBT character, the first non-binary character, and the first transgender character to be introduced in the series. Terry was the first character confirmed to be trans. The second non-binary character to be introduced was the Merciful One .

Kazi is a minor character in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. They are a student of language, translation, and interpretation, being also the top of their class in linguistics. They were sent by Janai to interpret Amaya when she was captured by the Sunfire Elves, since Amaya was deaf and used sign language. They are voiced by Ashleica Edmond.

Kazi and the surviving Sunfire Elves relocated to a camp built over the ruins of their people's original capital since they were unable to return to the corrupted Lux Aurea. Kazi delivered Karim's challenge to Janai and witnessed the duel alongside Amaya, which resulted in Janai's victory and Karim's banishment. [5] [6]

As the official interpreter for Khessa, Kazi actively translated for their queen in the past and continues to do so for Janai.[1] They greatly respect the two sisters and can be quite nervous when they are not in the best mood.

It is definitely unpopular since no one really think about Kazi, but being a linguistic nerd and interpreting for my job, Kazi is one of my favorite characters. Since using sign language + speech forces the interpreters to interact and understand both Deaf and Spoken culture, I can't imagine any other character that could understand that then Gren.
