Kagome Higurashi (日暮 ひぐらし かごめ, " Birdcage (first name), Sunset (family name) ") is the modern day reincarnation of the feudal era miko, Kikyō, and the narrator and heroine of the series.

2020年4月26日 · I know in the anime, her eyes are clearly brown and they're also brown in the colorized manga pages. I've seen some manga depict her eyes as brown still and some say gold if they are giving her some demonic heritage in an AU or crossover, and even green in one fanfic, but in most fics I've seen, they say her eyes are blue.

Kagome has pale skin (not as pale as Kikyo's though), long wavy black hair and big brown eyes (blue in manga). Kagome usually is always seen wearing her green school uniform. Also known as sailor fuku, it is a common style of uniform worn by female middle school and high school students, and occasionally, elementary school students.

Kagome is Japanese, and no matter what Arthur Golden might say -- most people of Japanese descent have brown eyes and it irritates me somewhat when people don't give her brown eyes as I feel it to be culturally insensitive.

It should be noted that silver-blue eyes are the most common and consistent color of Kagome’s eyes in the manga when colored. Especially on the volume covers in which every single one (at least of the Japanese ones that I read the last time I reread the series) with Kagome on them has her either have pale (uncolored) eyes, blue eyes, or ...

But since I started participating more in the Inuyasha fandom here on dA and on fanfiction.net, I noticed that there are many fans that don't know about this inconsistence in the colors of the manga.

May I ask why Kagome’s eyes are blue in most Sesskag fics? Because she’s shown to have blue eyes in the manga. Although sometimes they’re violet, green or brown. So really you could give Kagome any eye colour and get away with it. Rumiko wasn’t terribly consistent.

With Kagome's long legs and blue eyes, her father could have been from another country, besides Japan, or even come through the well. Kagome's mother talked about Kagome's father, but didn't give any concrete details, and he was not at the hospital when Kagome was born, just grandpa and mother.
