2023年12月22日 · The Bill Blue components boosted the little 249 cc engine to 351 cc. This was supposed to result in a gain of almost 10 hp, taking it to the mid-30s, depending what other modifications you made (cam, carb, etc.). While the stock 250’s 25ish hp was reckoned none too exciting, the Bill Blue kits made the bike into a real smiles-per-gallon machine.

2009年12月3日 · I actually consider the KLR250 to be superior to the KLX in most regards. The KLX is a better dirt bike, but the KLR is a better all around dual sport, I'd probably buy one if they still made them. I am not familiar with the KLX except what I have read. The limited fuel capacity would be my biggest worry. I have a Clarke 4 gallon tank on my XT225.

2022年5月11日 · If it's the offroad version you're talking about, the suspension is better than the 250, which was lowered for the 09 year. The CRF is typical Honda, as mediocre as it gets, and the KLX is a better bike in every way Edited May 12, 2022 by shrubitdown

2008年5月11日 · KLR is more road orientated but still a good off road bike. KLX250 S is US model designation of the KLX250H, KLX250 R is the australian designation of the same bike (with minor differences).

2009年8月4日 · Acerbis 3.7 gallon tank for KLX 250: or IMS which is sometimes listed as 3.2 gallon and sometimes listed as 3.7 gallon... Some folks report minor fitment problems, but seems like minor issues; nothing that can't be sorted. Bottom line, I'd like to get the one that's toughest. I understand these plastic tanks age and eventually have to be replaced.

2006年12月4日 · I suspect that the older KLX250R engine has several differences with the newer 250/300 motor, even though the overall engine design is the same. The older KLX250R also has a slightly different coolant amount than the '06 and later 250's. Also remember that the KLX250 has a fan, and the 300 doesn't.

2006年3月30日 · I just got my KLX about 3 weeks ago. I have put about 120 easy back road miles on it. I have had it in the woods 1 time. One item Kawasaki left off that I didn't notice was RIM LOCKS. I flatted the rear tire about 20 miles from the truck. I have made only minor changes so far. I want to ride it a few more miles before I make any engine mods.
