2009年8月23日 · So I currently have some lovely KEF q55.2's (upgraded with modern tweeters), a q6c and eggs (kht2005.2) as rears. For £550 I can get the Bronze 6 set (new). For £700 I can get q500 +q200c +q400b sub (used).

To give you an idea the Q55 when new were £500 rrp compared to £220 for 5 speakers and a sub so you are getting a lot of speaker for free (I assume) I have a pair of Q55 as well as some smaller Kef Eggs which are better satellites than yours and there is a noticeable difference in the sound.

2021年1月2日 · This has got me thinking about connecting an amp and CD/Streamer to the Q55.2's. My problem is I'm so out of touch with the HiFi scene I have no idea what would be a good pairing. My wife is a bit of a muso and has a good ear for sound quality, hence me wanting to get the pairing right.

2006年5月31日 · I've currently got a pair of KEF Q55.2 speakers for my L&R's with a Wharfedale Diamond 8 centre, KEF egss as the 3 surrounds. I've no idea why I bought the Diamond 8 centre (3 years ago) and now have the opportunity to replace it and the Q55.2's (my neice pushed one over and it broke).

2009年8月23日 · Hi guys, I got some q550's a while back to replace some age old and quite boomy 1990's KEF q55.2's. Wasn't initially impressed at first but the aim was: a) sharper treble. After reducing the brightness a little (grilles on / got a warmer Marantz amp / EQ adjustments) some improvement. b) tighter bass, and louder midrange.
