The Johannite Church (full title: l'Église Johannite des Chrétiens Primitifs, “The Johannite Church of Primitive Christians”) was a Gnostic Christian denomination founded by the French priest Bernard-Raymond Fabré-Palaprat in 1804.

Initiated by the Baptist, transmitted by the Apostle, and restored in the modern era, the Apostolic Johannite Church enacts the Johannite Tradition through an esoteric, Gnostic and Christian path of spiritual understanding and self-discovery.

Johannite is a strong radioactive mineral with a calculated activity of 87,501,143 Bq /g (to the comparison: natural potassium: 31.2 Bq/g). Johannite was first described in 1830 by Wilhelm Karl Ritter von Haidinger. It was named for Archduke John of Austria (1782–1859), the founder of the Landesmuseum Joanneum (Styria, Austria).
