2009年7月31日 · PCM (Powertrain Control Module) in a jeep is the computer box up on the firewall, the reason it is called a PCM and not ECM (Engine Control Module), is because in the new jeeps it does more than control the engine, it also sends commands to the TCM and other components of the power train. So therefore it is a PCM and not a ECM.

2016年5月13日 · I bought my PCM from a Jeep dealer to avoid getting one from one of the hack job re builders. I believe there is just as much risk getting one from a junker than there is from a on-line re builder. Most auto part dealers (O'Riley AutoZone etc.)have them from a company called CARDONE. Their reviews are better than those other ones in South Florida.

2011年12月19日 · The cut out portion of ZeeJay's PCM, was an attempted repair performed by a company that does repairs on automotive computers. They cut out the back of the unit to gain access to the back of the PCM in order to re flow the pins. They ended up soldering the wrong pins and almost completely destroying the mother board.

2024年12月19日 · I asked them to confirm they check the PCM and that it's getting power/functioning and they said they can't do that until they get it sparking and the engine turning over. I'm feeling pretty confident it's the PCM (No check engine light when I turn the key) and replacing all of these components will just waste money with no result.

2016年4月29日 · We ordered a rebuilt PCM and it started and ran for a few miles then it died and the SKIM lights showed up and wouldnt start at all (key in a circle with a line across and the gas gauge on empty) We took the SKIM fuse out and it started. We put the original PCM back in and it starts everytime! But CEL is back on.

2016年11月28日 · In looking at the 95 FSM 4.0 PCM connector pin-out cavities/pins 5, 11, 12, are all grounds for the PCM. These are the black/tan colored ground wires you mentioned so there could be multiple grounding points. It should be noted the FSM mentions the data link connector is also on the same ground as the PCM referred to as circuit Z12.

2022年3月30日 · It seems like it is starting to feel better now. Maybe the PCM is actually learning and adjusting to my driving style. Maybe it is all in my head and I actually do need to unhook the positive and ground. I would love to know for sure that I reset the PCM. I bought this Jeep used and would like to clear the parameters of whoever drove it before.
