Jay Francis Spearing (born 25 November 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Liverpool, where he is also a coach at their academy. He started his career with Liverpool as a youth-team player in 1997.

Jay Spearing made an emotional return to Liverpool FC in June 2022 when he joined the club's Academy in the role of U18s coach. The former FA Youth Cup-winning captain, who first came to the club at the age of seven having been spotted playing for Wallasey-based junior side Greenleas FC, works alongside U18s manager Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.
