Jawaahir, or “jewels” in Arabic, presents one-of-a-kind artistic and educational programs that showcase the beauty and distinctiveness of Middle Eastern dance.

Cassandra Shore founded Jawaahir Dance Company in 1989 as a way to move Middle Eastern dance "beyond the museum," and create original, theatrically-inspired choreography that blends traditional and contemporary Middle Eastern forms.
