2024年1月16日 · The Jarrah Forest is a type of eucalyptus forest found in the south-west corner of Western Australia. It is named after the Jarrah tree (Eucalyptus marginata), which is a dominant species in the forest and is known for its hard, durable wood.

Located in the southwest corner of Western Australia between Cape Naturaliste and Albany, it is bordered to the north and east by the Jarrah Forest region. Its defining characteristic is an extensive tall forest of Eucalyptus diversicolor (karri). This occurs on dissected, hilly ground, with a moderately wet climate.

The Jarrah Forest Bioregion is dominated by a duricrusted plateau of the Yilgarn Craton and characterised by jarrah-marri forest on laterite gravels and, in the eastern part, by marri-wandoo woodlands on clayey soils.
