Jalal-ud-Din Khalji, also known as Firuz al-Din Khalji, Jalaluddin Khilji or Firuz II (Persian; جلال الدین خلجی c. 1220 – 19 July 1296, r. 1290–1296) was the founder and first Sultan of the Khalji dynasty that ruled the Delhi Sultanate of India from 1290 to 1320.

Jalal al-Din Mangburni (Persian: جلال الدین مِنکُبِرنی), also known as Jalal al-Din Khwarazmshah (جلال الدین خوارزمشاه), was the last Khwarazmshah of the Anushtegin dynasty. The eldest son and successor of Ala ad-Din Muhammad II of the Khwarazmian Empire, Jalal al-Din was brought up at Gurganj, the wealthy capital of the Khwarazmid homeland.

Jalaluddin Muhammad Shah (Bengali: জালালউদ্দীন মুহম্মদ শাহ; born as Jadu / যদু[3]) was a 15th-century Sultan of Bengal and an important figure in medieval Bengali history. Born a Hindu to his aristocratic father Raja Ganesha, the patriarch of the Ganesha dynasty, he assumed the throne of Bengal after a coup which overthrew the Ilyas Shahi dynasty.

Jalal-ud-din, by his own merit, rose to the position of sar-i-jandar, that is, the head of the royal bodyguard. Afterwards, he was appointed governor of Samana where he successfully fought many battles against the Mongols. Kaiqubad called him to Delhi, gave him the title of Shaista Khan and appointed him ariz-i-mumalik, that is, army-minister.

Jalâluddîn Rumi was born in 1207 in Balkh in what is today Afghanistan. At an early age his family left Balkh because of the danger of the invading Mongols and settled in Konya, Turkey, which was then the capital of the Seljuk Empire. His father Bahauddin was a great religious teacher who received a position at the university in Konya.

2025年2月6日 · Jalal-ud-din Khalji joined the service of the Delhi Sultanate under King Balban and probably gained the prominence in service of the son of Balban – Bughra Khan. This may have been during the governorship of Bughra khan in Samana. Under him, Jalal-ud-din rose as the commander of North-western India keeping Samana as the headquarters.
