The FFVS J 22 was a Swedish single-engine fighter aircraft developed for the Swedish Air Force during World War II. At the onset of World War II, the Swedish Air Force (Flygvapnet) was equipped with largely obsolete Gloster Gladiator (J 8) biplane fighters.

The J22-B is a Swedish fighter. It was introduced in Update 1.95 "Northern Wind". With World War II on the brink of starting, Sweden realized that their air fleet was outdated and many foreign options fell through either through unacceptable offers, embargoes or unrealistic transit times.

The J22-B is a rank III Swedish fighter with a battle rating of 4.0 (AB), 3.7 (RB), and 2.3 (SB). It was introduced in Update 1.95 "Northern Wind".

With ever-improving technology to consider, Sweden made a bold choice to go its own path and produce its own domestic fighter aircraft to be able to protect their airspace and challenge the existing fighters used by other countries.
