2020年4月13日 · I load 'J' words for specific purposes but prefer casting my own. Out in CA, non-lead for hunting is law, I have .223 and .308 loaded with lathe turned HPBT copper. However, I prefer to kill tin cans with lead in my .223/5.56 and .308 W rifles.

2017年1月21日 · I have H110 and Power Pistol on hand and I assume Lil Gun and perhaps Tite Group will be good and I can use them elsewhere. I hear IMR4227 is great, but I hate to have a powder for just this gun as I probably won't be loading more than 150rds/year. I'll probably use J-words as I'll be whacking marmonts.

I recently started loading for 50AE after lucking into a Desert Eagle 44mag and ended up getting a 50AE upper and mag (less than $1400 for the whole setup) I have the brass, powder, primers and got some 350GR bullets (will start casting once I can get J-words to work) Since the Sierra 350gr HP's don't have any load data that I can find for this caliber and I do have quickload.

2012年4月25日 · I recall working up a "J" load in a `06 using Nosler BT bullets. The IMR powder resulted in a 3 shot 1 hole target with little trial work. The best I could derive with AA powder was an "Irish 3 leaf clover" group using the same componets - but a different amount of powder.

2022年1月12日 · Either 180s or 200s work pretty good. Contrary to popular opinion, I ran all of mine full power with PC and no gas check. Yes, even the Lee 200. Zero leading and good accuracy. For each gun, at least one of my cast bullets shot as good as J Words. I would try the mold you have first.

2015年12月2日 · All I use is a 50/50 mix of Anhydrous Lanolin and Vaseline. I got this mixture somewhere off this site when I got my swaging dies and decided to roll my own j-words from spent brass, but that's another story. I wanted something that worked for me, and something that the ingredients were easy to obtain and didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
