About Izutsumi's arc and its finality : r/DungeonMeshi - Reddit
Anyway, when I saw that panel being shared on FB, it surprised me to learn that Izutsumi is more cat and less human. Like 80% cat, 20% human. I thought it was the other way around. A human Izutsumi was imbued with a cat soul. Like Falin’s dragon/chimera merging. Turns out it was a cat yokai with a small human soul imbued in it.
Regarding Izutsumi : r/DungeonMeshi - Reddit
Izutsumi herself is very young, volatile, and hasn’t had too much experience (beyond early bad ones she internalized, and later better ones she was reluctant to with Shuro’s group. As far as Dungeon Meshi goes, I think she works fitting in because of how varyingly prominent all the characters are, what with just about very character and all ...
Izutsumi from Dungeon Meshi is the best. What a funny little
2024年1月23日 · Izutsumi is the perfect "if a cat was a person" character. She embodies the personality traits of a typical, bad-tempered housecat in ways that feel so genuine and accurate. Her body language is on point in ways other artists don't manage - details like her pointing all 4 limbs at the ground when the group is falling

Izutsumi is the ThatGuy of the party : r/DungeonMeshi - Reddit
Izutsumi, on the other hand, is actively building her ideals and persona in real time. It's a completely different narrative thrust. She's young, confused, and is learning from the other people in the story and her Party who already have a (somewhat) better handle on their own bullshit, even as she doesn't know for sure if she even wants that ...
Izutsumi is everything my nightmare as a DM would be. I love her.
Izutsumi thought she needed to be a “human” to be loved and then she learns that she was always human and there was nothing wrong with her and she has people who love her who would care if she were gone. All packaged in the idea that the archetype of the selfish loner is childish, and comparing it to a child refusing to eat their veggies.
What if Senshi found Izutsumi sooner. by dunmestuffy
Very cute! I know Ryoko Kui has penned some modern day AU comics like Senshi and Izutsumi stopping to get burgers on a hot day, so it’s nice to see the doting uncle/spoiled niece dynamic expanded on Edit: the comic in questions:
Izutsumi question (spoilers) : r/DungeonMeshi - Reddit
AFAIK, there's speculation that Izutsumi comes from the Dungeon Meshi equivalent of the Ainu, an indigenous tribe in Japan. This is based on the clothing that Izutsumi's mother wears in the succubus chapter. There's real-life tension between the Ainu identity and the Japanese identity.
