In the browser, a unique icon displays on a placed iPart member. If one of the iPart or iAssembly members does not meet the requirements, you can create a row in the Place Standard iPart dialog box. You can edit an iPart factory. However, some changes do not automatically update iParts that were placed in assemblies.

When creating an iPart factory, you select the parameters or properties to define the published iPart. In the iPart Author, each column contains a parameter or property. Each row represents a unique version of the part. To modify the iPart factory, edit in the iPart Author table or in an embedded Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

Create an iPart factory. A good candidate for an iPart factory is a basic part you use often in different sizes, materials, or mounting configurations. When you transform a part to an iPart factory, you define the parameters and properties that must change for each part.

Browse to locate the iPart factory file, and then click Open. In the browser, click to expand the table folder. The default iPart member is marked with a check mark. Right-click the table icon and select Edit via Spreadsheet. The iPart table opens in Microsoft Excel. Edit cells as necessary, but do not change the column headings.

The title block for iPart drawings can be edited to use a different property (i.e. Title) that will have the same value across all members. In the example below, I'm using the TITLE to have the 055 value (iPart factory) as members have the part numbers 055A, 055B, 055C.

2015年2月26日 · I've created an iPart and I'm trying to get the factory parts to save in a specific folder. Currently they are all just saving in the root of the workspace. When inserting the iPart I can click the browse function to save it somewhere else, but when I insert the same iPart again, it defaults back to the worlgroup root.
