2021年9月14日 · India = 1.269 m sq mi / USA lower 48 2.959 m sq mi = 42.9%. But if you include Alaska (and Hawaii) then yes you are correct. Can't tell if India's land mass figure includes water though. Just making my comment to show how much Alaska adds to USA total land area.

Obviously India has a larger GDP because India is area wise 7 times bigger, has a 6 times greater population and in partition got more industrial cities and assets than Pakistan. But where does India today stand when compared to countries of it's own size and potential?
