Illusk was an ancient city that had been destroyed and rebuilt many times. The city of Luskan stood upon its ruins, the market district to its north, and the noisy slums to its south. A street bisecting the ruins of Illusk and lead to the Dark Arch. It was named for the haunted reputation of the ruins of Illusk.

Illuskan was the name usually given to humans who lived in the Sword Coast North. They were also known as Northlanders. Illuskans made up the bulk of the population in the following areas: Illuskans were tall, fair-skinned people. Most had blue or steel gray eyes.

The remnants of the ancient city of Illusk stand on the southern shore of Mirar, in the lee of Closeguard Island. All that remains of this once-proud city are a few shattered towers and toppled statues cloaked with creepers and thick brush.

The Ruins of Illusk is a side quest that takes place in Luskan, a town you'll be spending time in at the end of Chapter 2. Unlike the other quests here this one doesn't begin by talking to an NPC. Luskan: The Ruins of Illusk. Near the southwest corner of the Luskan Docks, there is an abandoned house with a statue outside. The inscription on the statue is a prophesy that a hero from the south will break the three seals and defeat the evil Voleron trapped inside the ruins. Enter the building and defeat the Skull Warrior.
