2021年6月19日 · Yeah, I feel like Rock and Ice type attacks are generally coverage moves fit onto one's Fighting and Water type Pokemon, respectively. A Fire type is best for using Fire moves, a Fairy type is best for using Fairy moves, etc. Bringing a Rock or Ice type Pokemon for their STAB however is sadly often a liability.

Meanwhile, metal is simply stronger- in a brute force contest, steel wins. Ice melts, but is also more fragile then rock or steel and easy enough to break with brute strength.

Ice/Bug is already half dead if sent out on stealth rock, is walled completely by both fire and steel, and is extremely weak to the common fire coverage used for things like Ferro, Forretress, and Scizor.
