The site of Bat is located in the Az-Zahira governorate to the south of the Al-Hajar Mountains, about 25 km to the east of the modern town of Ibri. Bat is one of the most important sites of the Early Bronze Age in the 3 rd millennium BC in Oman and is, together with Al-Khutum and Al-Ayn, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
