2015年9月11日 · Joe Pass played that one on his ES-175, believe it or not. The engineer, apparently lost the track with the electric guitar signal, but had Joe's guitar mic'd as a safety track. That ended up being "THE" track on both Virtuoso #1 and #4--same session.

2018年9月25日 · I totally disagree about Joe Pass' tone being dreadful. Albums like Blues for Fred for example have fabulous tone. His tone on Summer Nights is lovely, as is Ira, George, and Joe. As is almost anything he did in the studio in the last 10 years of his life. Portraits of Duke Ellington is also fine, I think.

Lore has it that D'Aquisto wasn't pleased when Joe Pass handed his D'Aquisto to Ibanez to copy; neither his consent nor approval was sought or given. Ibanez asked for it; Joe Pass probably didn't think too much of the request, that it was unusual.
