2017年5月13日 · Around 1997 the Ibanez J-Custom shop ramped up, in Hoshino's homeland. The Ibanez Japanese Custom shop would create some of their own exotic guitars, upscale instruments with limited production. The J-Customs would be based mostly on RG and S series guitars, catering to the lucrative Japanese marketplace.

I'm aware of a handful of one-offs which are not included in this number (RG-Egypt, RG-Time, RG-Star, etc.) simply because I don't have enough information on any of them to make a credible entry.

2013年8月7日 · A Ibanez J Custom JCRG613RBS with a serial of the form F123374* But this was made in april 2013 according to the final inspection ticket. Also, this is a 2013 model. However, according to the given rules, this should be a 2012 year model. Definitely not a fake. Got a J-Custom RG8470z to compare it with (very similar guitar). Any ideas?

2021年5月31日 · I have an Ibanez J Custom Rg8570Z - Chrysocolla on the way. The only thing that worries me is that the frets are not stainless steel on the Ibanez. This is the reason why I almost went with a Suhr Modern or Mayones guitar. Is it true that the nickel frets on the Ibanez are actually quite hard and almost resemble stainless steel frets?

2010年4月3日 · Well said Jono. It's worth checking out those early J Customs like Gear, Arch, Art, Metal, Gold 1, Gold2, Paint1,2,3,4 etc, etc. Those for me were the real 'showcase' J Custom models. For a long time now we have just had the J Customs in an all too familiar colour range, ie Black, Red, Blue, Purple.

2012年1月6日 · J Custom series guitars, are top of the line Ibanez guitars made for the Japanese Market only. hence the J... any Jem or JS should bethe same level in wood and pickups, fret finish etc.. Although just recently J Customs have been made available for the rest of the world.

2011年4月5日 · I owned an RG3120 as well a J.Custom RG8520. The J.C had a different neck profile and an Edge Pro tem vs. a LoPro, but on paper these are virtually the same guitar. The J.C was hands down a nicer guitar and got played more. Beyond the aesthetics and the whole limited production thing, the neck and frets were just a step above.

2018年4月3日 · Browsing around, I came across the J.Custom in the title. It looks really nice, but is way more money than I've thought about spending - but isn't completely inconceivable. One thing that occurs, though, is that the J.Custom seems about twice the price of a Prestige model that seems to have a similar spec (but is rather less pretty) - eg RG2550Z.
