You get power to a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 by connecting its transformer and plugging it in. The system uses a 5.5VDC or 7VDC transformer. An included power cable is attached to the transformer and plugged into the IQ Panel 2. The panel also has a backup battery for when AC power is out.

To power down your panel, you must first locate the transformer power plug for the system. This will be plugged into a wall outlet, normally near the system or in a closet nearby. Once you have located the transformer plug, unplug it.

Insert your thumb or finger under the opening on the back cover and firmly pull up to remove. With the included power supply and cable, plug the barrel connector into the jack next to the terminals as shown above. Route the cable under the hook next to the battery. Route the cable through the strain relief opening.
