IPR cell is working towards creating an innovative culture which fosters the creation of IP and development of IPR at the University. Shivaji University has a IPR management policy and has established procedure for converting the knowledge generated to wealth.

The CUSB Intellectual Property Rights Policy, 2020 came in to effect in 2020. Under this policy, for knowledge generation & management, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell has been established. The functions of the IPR Cell shall include inter alia followings-

An Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) cell, plays a crucial role in managing and safeguarding intellectual property assets. The common rules and responsibilities of an IPR Cell include: Providing education and training to employees, students, or stakeholders about the importance of intellectual property rights and the organization's IPR policies.

KCT IPR Cell is committed to encourage, protect, manage and commercialize Intellectual Property such as Patent, Copyright, Trademark etc. generated through the College. The cell creates conducive environment in the academics for the development of Intellectual Property.

The IPR Cell offers all assistance and guidance for filing of IPR, preparation of documents, and IPR-related support in commercialisation of the products if needed after obtaining the IPR. Entire cost of obtaining IPR is borne by the institute.
